Advanced Green Technologies together with FPL and FIU install a 1.4 MW commercial-scale solar carport and renewable energy research laboratory at FIU’s College of Engineering and Computing
Advanced Green Technologies provided engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for a new commercial-scale solar panel installation at Florida International University’s (FIU) College of Engineering and Computing in Miami, Florida. The 1.4-megawatt solar carport is built to withstand hurricane force winds and comprises more than 4,400 solar panels on a custom designed canopy structure that can shade 400 vehicles. A unique design feature on this solar array is a 24-foot by 12-foot FIU logo that is visible from above.
