FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Governor Charlie Crist will inspect the largest building integrated photovoltaic solar system in Florida on Monday, December 10th at 10:30 a.m. during the ribbon cutting for Advanced Green Technologies (AGT) new headquarters at 2100 N.W. 21st Avenue.

Advanced Green Technologies has taken the lead in Florida with innovative use of solar power to provide electricity to its 10,000 square foot building with hurricane resistant solar laminates. The company provides renewable energy products for residential and commercial applications.

"Governor Crist will see firsthand how Floridians may go green with a cost-effective solution that cuts energy bills and benefits the environment," said Rob Kornahrens of AGT. "This is truly renewable energy that may be achieved with a minimum investment after rebates."

The Advanced Green Technologies new headquarters is a mixed use office and warehouse. During daytime hours, up to 100 percent of the building consumption is supplied by solar power. The AGT system is interconnected to the FPL utility grid and all overproduction is fed back to the grid, turning the meter backwards.

Renewable energy continues to bring new jobs to Florida. Partnering companies with AGT include certified installers Hypower Inc. and Advanced Roofing.

Advanced Green Technologies continues to provide unique environmental solutions for Florida residents. AGT is sponsoring Saturday's Winterfest Boat Parade which will be the first carbon free boat event in the country.
