Advanced Green Technologies supports local solar education

Advanced Green Technologies (AGT) supported a local Broward County high school, South Plantation High School (SPHS).  SPHS Solar Knights is a group of talented students who built a solar car and raced in the Dell Winston Solar Race from Texas to New York.  With the help of AGT SPHS was able to complete the race at minimal cost to the students.  SPHS will be starting a magnet program on renewable energy and teaching more students about photovoltaics.  AGT is committed to working with local communities to make students and a new generation aware of the need for renewable energy and conservation.  In the upcoming year, staff and engineers from AGT will again be helping the SPHS staff led by Allan Phibbs, a teacher at SPHS.  Through education at the high school level, more students will have an interest in renewable energy as employment needs grow for an emerging industry.  Students will have an edge on other students by having prior experience in the field.
