As a part of the initiative to provide an all-natural, organic, and earth-friendly environment through their GreenWise Markets, Publix Super Market’s headquarters in Lakeland, Florida recently installed two photovoltaic systems. The systems were supplied by Advanced Green Technologies, a provider of innovative, building-integrated renewable energy products, and consisted of FlexLight Photovoltaic Laminates and sun module crystalline panels. The first solar system included 143 FlexLight 136 Photovoltaic Laminates at a system size of 19,448 kW. Adhered to TPO roofing, the FlexLight system uses a PV Powered 30 kW inverter and a wire management system. The second solar system installed at the Lakeland Publix GreenWise Market consisted of 27 sun module crystalline panels at a system size of 4,725 kW. With a ground mounted dual axes tracker, the system contains a 5,000 watt Sunny Boy inverter. Both photovoltaic systems combined produce a total output of 24,173 kW. The systems were installed by Advanced Roofing, Inc., a South Florida commercial roofing company. Established in 1983, Advanced Roofing provides a complete range of roofing systems and services.
